Oldest dolphin of Europe became 50 years old

Skinny, the oldest dolphin in Europe and one of the oldest dolphins in captivity in the world becomes 50 years old.

The Dolphinarium in Harderwijk celebrates by giving over 50 free access this Saturday. Animals in the zoo are getting increasingly older. Dolphins in captivity become older nowadays that the ones in the wild, according to the marine park.

Through study, the knowledge about the species, their behavior and their health continue to increase. The Dolphinarium has 8 animals between 30 to 50 years old other than Skinny.
