Schiphol evacuated due to bomb threat

Part of Schiphol is evacuated on Monday morning due to a bomb threat. A team from the Special Security Missions Brigade (BSB) of the customs police arrived at the airport to provide first assistance.

A man on the toilet at the Meeting Plaza claimed that he had a bomb. The highest level of alert was in effect at the airport. A special negotiator is trying to establish contact with the man. Later, the man was arrested by the police team.

The travelers are led to their gates indirectly. Several flights are still delayed, according to the website of Schiphol.

ProRail said that the bomb does not affect traffic around Schiphol.
