Queen Beatrix celebrates her 74th birthday on Tuesday. With this age, she is the oldest reigning monarch in Dutch history. 

The queen has already established the record at the end of November last year. King Willem III died on 23 November 1890 as reigning monarch when he was 73 years and 277 years old. The queen is still hard-working. She traveled to Oman and United Arab Emirates for a state visit and she will visit Luxemburg in March.

Queen Beatrix will be on the throne for 32 years exactly on April 30.
