Birdlovers counting day again

Today and tomorrow are bird counting days again. Bird Protection Netherlands organized the 9th National Garden Bird-counting.

Anyone who has a garden or balcony can participate. From the living room, every bird lover can count the number of birds in his garden or on the balcony in half an hour. Then they can submit the counting results via Internet.

The results will be announced tomorrow. Last year, 30,000 people participated and almost 850,000 birds were counted. The top three consisted of the house sparrow, great tit and black bird.
