13% less asylum seekers to the Netherlands

The number of asylum seekers came to the Netherlands last year has dropped sharply compared to 2010. In the previous year, there were 13,340 asylum applications, but in 2011, there were only 11,590. This represents a decrease of approximately 13 percent.
According to the figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics, there was already a sharp decrease compared to the year before: 11 percent.
