Children get the first glass of alcohol from parents

According to the pediatrician Nico van der Lely, the mahority of teenagers with alcohol poisoning in hospital got their first drink from their parents.
He estimates that three quarters of the children hold that 'we must begin with the parents, if we want to start this.'
Recently, a few children around 10 years old were in hospital due to heavily intoxicated condition.
