Zijstra sees opportunities for Tropical Museum

State secretary Halbe Zijstra (Culture) sees an opportunity for the Tropical Museum in Amsterdam which was facing a threat of closure. 

The museum in Amsterdam must cooperate with the Museum of Ethnology in Leiden. Zijlstra requested the museum to investigate and see if this will yield a substantial gain of efficiency.

Zijlstra added that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) has no money for the Tropical Museum to be included in the culture budget.
