Together with his lawyer, he is working on the final procedures of the application, according to a spokesperson for children’s rights organization Defense for Children.
In recent weeks, the 18-year-old boy became a topic of political crisis. The CDA suggested a temporary study visa as compromise so that deportation could be avoided.
Minister for Immigration and Asylum Leers said that the application for a study visa should be ‘sympathetically’ viewed.
