Netherlands rises on UN’s list of best countries to live in

The Netherlands rises sharply on the United Nations’ list of the best countries to live in. 

Last year, the Netherlands was still on the 7th place, but this year, the Netherlands rose to the 3rd following only Norway and Australia when it comes to the quality of life, according to the index. The lest attractive country is Congo.

When it comes to the equality between women and men, the Netherlands scores even higher following only Sweden. The situation of women in Yemen is the worst.

Japanese have the highest life expectancy (83.4 years old). Residents of Sierre Leone live the shortest (47.8 years old). Life expectancy of the Dutch is 80.7 years old.

UNDP, a division of the UN publishes the rankings annually and investigates the education and life expectancy under individual economic outlook in 169 countries. Countries like Somalia and North Korea are missing on the list.
