A delegation of Dutch government officials led by Eindhoven Mayor, Rob van Gijzel visited Advantech’s CEO, KC Liu, and President Chaney Ho in Taipei on September 23. Advantech has had an office in Eindhoven for more than a decade and since 2010 it is known as Advantech Europe’s headquarter. The main purpose for this visit is to express appreciation for Advantech’s long-term sustainability of local investments, including land purchase and plant construction, as well as to discuss future investment and cooperation plans. Members of the delegation include: Ms. Naomie Verstraeten (Policy Advisor International Promotion & Acquisition of the City of Eindhoven), Mr. Eelko Brinkhoff (Project Director BOM Foreign Investments), Mr. Richard L’Ami (Director BOM Foreign Investments), Mr. Dennis Bierman (Executive Director of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Taiwan Office), Mr. Vince Yi (Project Manager of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Taiwan office, and Mr. Hans Fortuin (Representative of the Netherlands Trade & Investment Office, de-facto Dutch Embassy in Taiwan).

As a major technology and industrial hub, Eindhoven is known for its excellence in the knowledge economy. This year, The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) named the Eindhoven Region of the Netherlands as the world's Intelligent Community of the Year 2011. In addition, its hi-tech park has always been an important base as a Dutch innovation incubator for a cluster of high-tech companies. In 1999, Advantech established an office (Advantech Europe Service Center, now Advantech Europe’s Headquarter) in Science Park Eindhoven to provide the most appropriate and immediate services and support in Europe. Advantech has invested more than €3 million in local building, warehousing, and factories, while future investment is expected to reach an additional €1 million.

Advantech is pleased and honored to receive these distinguished guests, and hopes their stay in Taiwan will continue to be both pleasant and productive.
