
The European investigation is conducted in the Netherlands by the Foundation for Road Safety Research (SWOV).
The number of people driving after smoking is one quarter higher than in the rest of the European countries. For amphetamines, it is twice about the European average.
Compared with other countries, Dutch drive less with alcohol.
For this study, 26000 drivers are tested. According to the SWOV, there are eighty people killed in traffic accidents due to the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination of both in the Netherlands.
