Travelling with an ov-card with discount is usually not cheaper than with a card with no discount.  This is due to the poor cooperation between the transport regions.

Discount is usually only valid in the area where the card is issued. Besides, people often have problems with discount for different operators. For example, the smart card works on the train but not on the bus.

The problems must be solved as soon as possible, because the interests of the operators should be subordinated to the convenience of the travelers.
