NS employees left injured woman behind

The railway police have arrested and questioned three NS employee after an injured woman had been left behind at the railway track. They found her, called an ambulance and but did not wait for the ambulance. They left with the train. The woman died in hospital due to the injuries.

According to the police, the employees will not be prosecuted of anything criminal. NS also started an internal investigation into this case. The three employ are not suspended but "exempt from service" for the investigation and handling of the incident.
Annually, there are 220 to 250 incidents with fatalities on the track.
