Greenpeace action terminated in Ijmuiden port

Greenpeace has terminated the action in the port of Ijmuiden where protesters prevent a large fishing boat from sailing on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The environmental group wanted to prevent the ship, one of the largest vessels of Europe, from leaving. Greenpeace calls State Secretary Henk Bleacher (Fisheries) in order to choose for a sustainable reform of the European Fisheries.

“This is the last chance to halt the worldwide plundering of the oceans,” says a spokesperson.
