Baby does not understand TV

Educational television for babies does not exist, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

About 90% of American parents put their babies before a TV sometimes. More than half of parents educational television think ‘’Educational television” for children is important. But actually they understand nothing of what they see on TV until they are two years old.

Children older than two years old can learn something from programs like Sesame Street. This should be contributing to their language and social skills.

Children older than two years should not watch TV longer than two hours. Otherwise, they may experience sleep problems, concentration problems and obesity.

Pediatricians believe that talking and playing with your child is much more instructive and also much more fun.
