The Netherlands has much to offer to Iraq in the field of water management, according to the Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari after a meeting with his Dutch counterpart, Uri Rosenthal. There will be a trade mission to Iraq to see what role the Dutch companies can play.
‘Iraq has a serious shortage of water. We import water from neighboring countries Iran and Turkey. Another problem is that the available water is not used efficiently,’ said Zebari.
