An emperor penguin which came to the New Zealand beach in June is going to be sent back to Antarctica on Monday after recovering from surgery to remove 3 kg of sand from his stomach.
The penguin was named Happy Feet after the famous animated film about a dancing penguin. He is to be transported for four days by a fisheries survey vessel and he has been fitted with a tracking device so the zoo can monitor his progress, according to BBC.
