‘Chuh Pah’ Federation commemorate 100 years of Chinese in NL on Elders’ Day

The annual Elders’ Day organized by National Federation of Chinese Elder People Association ’Chuh Pah’ in the Netherlands was held in Ahoy on 13th of September. The event was organized by Rotterdam branch this year. Because Katendrecht is the place where a large group of Chinese people came to the Netherlands 100 years ago, the year’s event was also given a special subject to commemorate the history.

Rotterdam Chuh Pah Association arrange a special musical which vividly displayed several major phases in the history of Chinese people in the Netherlands. The participants of the performance were all members of ‘Chuh Pah’ Association.

Huang Ying, director at Consular Department, was also present. She congratulated the elderly Chinese people on behalf of the Embassy and handed out many DVDs of Chinese movies and documentary as gifts.
