Mayor of Beijing visiting the Netherlands to strengthen the trade connection

A delegation from Beijing led by Guo Jinlong, the mayor of Beijing started their visit to the Netherlands from 7th August. The trip was determined when Van der Laan, the mayor of Amsterdam, visited Beijing.

On the morning of the 7th,the delegation visited the greenhouse of Wageningen University with the company of Zhang Jun, the Chinese Ambassador.

In the afternoon, a promotion conference named ‘Beijing, a City of International Conventions & Exhibitions’ was held at World Trade Center, which promoted China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo, the 9th China Beijing Garden Exposition and the 7th International Strawberry Symposium. Zhang Jun, the Chinese Ambassador, Guo Jinlong, the mayor of Beijing, and Hilde van der Meer, the director of Amsterdam inBusiness were also present in the conference.

Zhang Jun expressed his appreciation for the contribution by both Beijing and Amsterdam in the promotion of the bilateral relationship between the Netherlands and China. Guo Jinlong introduced the advantages of Beijing  and highly commented on the friendly cooperation between Beijing and Amsterdam. Hilde van der Meer also expressed her confidence in the continuous development of the trade cooperation between the two cities.

DCCC and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council signed an agreement to strengthen the trade cooperation between the two parties. The 7th International Strawberry Symposium also signed a contract with EMSC for the promotion of the symposium.

In the evening, Dutch China Trade and Economic Promote Association invited the delegation for dinner. Many Chinese communities and Dutch guests were present.
