The rainy summer has drowned many catering companies. During the quarter, 31 percent more bars and restaurants failed comparing to the same period last year. This is evident from the research published by consulting firm Dun & Bradstreet.
"The poor summer has definitely contributed to the fact that many restaurants and bars had to close," said General Manager Jan Willem de Vries of Dun & Bradstreet.
"Considering the gloomy economic forecast, it is expected that this trend will continue in the fourth quarter."
